We specialize in legal malpractice, medical malpractice, and other professional negligence litigation, primarily for plaintiffs who have been the victim of licensed professionals who did not live up to the standard of care.
We also handle personal injury claims such as those arising from auto accidents, premises liability and work-related accidents. In the field of construction law, Mr. Michelson was the chief counsel for dozens of architects and engineers in the New Jersey Fire-Retardant Plywood Litigation from 1990 to 1995, and has handled many other construction-related matters.
Another field in which Mr. Michelson has practiced for many years is insurance law, including both the resolution of disputes with insurance companies, and the litigation which sometimes results from those disputes.
In the general practice area, we handle real estate transactions and disputes (both residential and commercial), wills, contracts and business matters. We regularly incorporate businesses and handle all their legal needs thereafter.
We deal with planning and zoning; Mr. Michelson is a veteran Planning Board member and holds a master's degree in that field. We do not handle matrimonial or family law; criminal law; bankruptcy; or worker's compensation; but consult with other attorneys who do, and to whom we refer such matters.
